Wi-Fi & Wireless Networks in Ontario

Wi-Fi & Wireless Networks done right for Ontario businesses

The office behind the fire wall gets one bar. Ontario buildings are enormous, full of steel racking and metal product, and the consumer-grade access point someone bought at Ontario Mills was never going to cover 400,000 square feet. We design commercial Wi-Fi with a real site survey, place enterprise access points where the coverage math says they go, and cable each one back on Cat6A so it runs at full speed.

Offices, hotels and clinics have the opposite problem: too many devices in too small an area, guests on the same network as the front desk, and dead spots in conference rooms. We design for capacity, separate guest and business traffic, and make roaming work between floors. ITECH2 is a licensed C-7 contractor serving 91761, 91762 and 91764, and every wireless project starts with a free on-site survey with real measurements.

Dead zones come from access-point placement and cabling, not from buying a bigger router. We design from a heat map, cable every access point on Cat6A, and set up separate SSIDs and VLANs so guest traffic never touches your point-of-sale or cameras.

Local knowledge

Wi-Fi & Wireless Networks across Ontario

Ontario Wi-Fi work is mostly warehouse coverage along Jurupa, Archibald, Francis and Mission in 91761, including outdoor access points for yard checks and trailer scanning. We also handle office suites at Ontario Center and Piemonte, hotels around the Ontario Convention Center and airport in 91764, medical suites on Vineyard Avenue near Kaiser Permanente, and restaurants and retail along Holt Boulevard and Fourth Street. New commercial buildings in Ontario Ranch often come with nothing installed at all, so we cable and design the wireless from a blank slate.

How it works

Survey, install, document

Step 1

Survey

We measure the space, walls, interference and device count, and produce a heat map showing where each access point goes. Free.

Step 2

Install

Access points are cabled, mounted and powered over Ethernet, then tuned for channel and power.

Step 3

Validate

We walk the floor with a meter and hand you the post-install coverage map.

Common questions

Wi-Fi & Wireless Networks in Ontario — questions we get

Why does Wi-Fi drop in the back of my Ontario warehouse and how do you fix it?

Steel racking, metal product and distance kill the signal, and most Ontario warehouses have far too few access points for the square footage. We do a predictive and on-site survey, place enterprise access points in the aisles at the right height, and cable each one on Cat6A. The free site survey is where we measure the actual loss.

Can you install outdoor Wi-Fi to cover a truck yard in Ontario?

Yes. Outdoor-rated access points on the building or on light poles cover yard-check tablets, trailer scanning and gate devices. Ontario yards get hot and dusty, so we use gear rated for it and run the cable in conduit. We map the yard during a free site survey.

Do you set up guest Wi-Fi for hotels and restaurants near Ontario Airport and the Convention Center?

We do. Hotels along Convention Center Way and around Ontario International Airport need dense, roaming coverage with a separate guest network and captive portal, and restaurants on Fourth Street need the same on a smaller scale. We design for capacity, not just signal bars. Start with a free site survey.

Why is our office Wi-Fi so slow even with a new router?

One router cannot cover an office through drywall, glass and metal studs. Commercial Wi-Fi uses several ceiling-mounted access points placed from a heat map and cabled back to a switch, so every desk gets a strong signal.

Can you cover a warehouse or an outdoor lot with Wi-Fi?

Yes. Warehouses need access points aimed down aisles and above racking; lots and yards use outdoor-rated units. Both are designed from a site survey.

Do you set up guest Wi-Fi separately from our business network?

Always. Guests get their own network with a captive portal if you want one, isolated from your computers, cameras and point-of-sale.
