A Downtown building that needs a clean backbone from the MPOE in the basement to a telecom room on 30. A warehouse in Sun Valley where the shipping office is 600 feet from the server room and the Wi-Fi bridge keeps dropping. A school campus in South LA connecting five buildings without trenching new copper every time a classroom adds devices.
We install single-mode and multimode fiber, terminate it with fusion splicing or field connectors depending on the job, and test every strand with an OTDR or light meter so you have real numbers, not a promise. We handle indoor riser runs in existing sleeves, outdoor-rated fiber between buildings in conduit, and the patch panels and media converters at each end. If your ISP dropped fiber at the demarc and left, we finish the job to your rack.
Copper tops out at 100 meters; fiber goes kilometers and is immune to the electrical noise you get near motors, lighting ballasts and parking-lot transformers. Single-mode (OS2) is our default for anything between buildings; OM4 multimode for short data-center and closet-to-closet links.
What is included
- Single-mode and multimode fiber between buildings, floors and IDF closets

- OTDR and power-meter testing with a printed report

Fiber Optic Installation across Los Angeles
Downtown risers on Bunker Hill are the classic LA fiber job: pull through crowded sleeves, firestop, terminate in a cassette on each floor. Hollywood and Burbank-adjacent studios in 90038 want OM4 or single-mode between edit bays and machine rooms. The Valley has campus-style properties in Chatsworth and Woodland Hills where two or three buildings share one internet handoff and need fiber between them. Port-area warehouses in Wilmington run outdoor fiber to gate cameras and guard shacks because copper cannot make the distance. We plan each run on a free site survey.
Survey, install, document
Survey
We confirm distance, pathway, fiber type and the equipment on both ends, then price the run and the terminations.
Install and splice
Fiber is pulled with proper tension and bend radius, spliced or terminated, and landed in a labeled enclosure.
Test and hand off
Every strand is tested for loss and documented so your IT team knows exactly what they have.
Fiber Optic Installation in Los Angeles — questions we get
When does a Los Angeles business need fiber instead of copper cabling?
Any run over about 300 feet, any link between separate buildings, and any backbone between floors of a mid-rise or tower should be fiber. Video production in Hollywood, imaging clinics on the Westside, and warehouses with a far shipping office in the Valley are the usual cases. Fiber is also immune to the electrical noise near machinery. We recommend the right mix after a free site survey.
Can you install fiber between buildings on a campus in Los Angeles?
Yes. We run outdoor-rated fiber through existing conduit or new conduit between buildings at schools, churches, industrial parks and healthcare campuses across LA. Trenching or new underground conduit on city property may need an LADBS or Bureau of Engineering permit, and we handle that coordination. Every strand is tested and documented before handoff.
My ISP installed fiber to my Downtown LA building but not to my suite. Can you extend it?
That is one of our most common Downtown calls. The carrier stops at the MPOE in the basement. We extend fiber up the riser to your floor, terminate it in your telecom room, and connect it to your switch. Building engineering usually needs a certificate of insurance and an after-hours window, which we arrange. Start with a free site survey.
When does a building need fiber instead of copper?
When a run is longer than 100 meters, when it crosses between buildings or floors with separate electrical grounds, or when you need more than 10 Gbps. Camera systems on large lots and campuses usually need fiber to the far poles.
Can you repair a cut fiber line?
Yes. We locate the break with an OTDR, splice or re-terminate, and re-test. Most single breaks are fixed the same day once we are on site.
Do you test fiber after installation?
Every strand is tested with an optical power meter and, on longer runs, an OTDR. You get the loss report with the invoice.
